Yet another addition to my gallery.
It's another 'film' poster but a little different this time.
Took about 2-3 hours of photoshopping and a few photos.
And yes all the credits were researched and are correct.
Sad isn't it.

A wallpaper addition to my gallery.
It is to celebrate my new hand-knitted tanktop that Nimrod made for my 18th (yesterday).
Check it out.
In other news:
I have further quietened my PC by hacking my PSU case in half (to improve airflow) and mounting it on bits of old mouse mat to reduce case vibrations. I also unplugged the fan on my Graphics card. This made it run a little hot so I removed it's heatsink completely and fitted an oversized heat sink taken from an old K6 400Mhz processor.
CPU Temps are still at 38/45 C so I'm fairly happy with it.
The PC is now silent on switch on (even with your head right by the case) but as it works it gets louder because the CPU fan is heat sensitive. I will eventually look at getting a quieter fan for the PSU.
Good things.

A little tip for quietening your PC:
My CPU fan (a coolermaster CP5-8JD1F-0L) was being a little bit loud (not stupidly loud just a bit). Now my XP2400+ was running at 35 degrees idle and 42 under full load which is really rather cool (in both senses of the word) so I decided I could slow my fan down. The problem was that I have a cheap mobo I had no control over the speed of the cpu fan.
I did however purchase 2 extremely cheap 80mm case fans with my PC (58p each) these are 12v molex connector types and were a little quieter than the coolermaster fan. Still audible though. So I rewired the ground of the fans to the +5 volts rail, effectively running them both at 7v and now they are silent. So I replaced the cpu fan with one of them and stuck the other one as my main exhaust fan and now I have a hugely quieter PC. temps are up slightly but acceptably - 37 degrees idle and 45-46 after 30 mins at max load.
Now I think my PSU is noisy...
I'll try some more fiddling.
I hope this helps someone someday.

I am sure you are all waiting with baited breath, on the edge of your seats, practically dieing to know what is happening with me at the moment.
Your answer is nothing.
Unless you want to dive the depths of my saddness...
I'll assume you do seeing as your already looking at my website.
I've progressed form writing web applications (like this site) to writing real software. My new project is developing windows programs with C#.NET.
So far I have written a program that helps me update the hair tracker on this site. It is basically a glorified stop watch that I can set going before I go for my shower and then stop when I'm done and automatically update my hair timer page. So you can now expect hair timing accuracy to the second.
If any one actually want more details on this then let me know (and I'll report you to the police).

PC is now up and running - this was written on it.
It all went together first time and is really rather nice.
I have stuck the old 2MB graphics card from my old PC in as well (it is PCI) and got my old 15 inch monitor up so now I have a dual monitor setup.
Useful.
I also failed my driving test last week.
Boohoo
My next on is the 7th of June (buttocks).

I've ordered my new PC parts (shown below) now.
with one or two differences:
The kingston Ram and the thermal compound were out of stock so I changed to a Twinmos cl2.5 512MB stick instead and will build without the extra thermal grease for now - I can always replace it later on if my temps are high.
Good.
